Job Summary

The Catalytic team is looking for an experienced Sales Representative to drive sales of a new R&D cloud platform built for life sciences companies.  As a Catalytic Data Sciences Sales Representative, you will be responsible for generating qualified opportunities, winning new business, and managing relationships with customers.  Strong presentation skills, creativity, drive, and a desire to work in a small but growing team are critical requirements.



  • Understand the Catalytic Platform and demonstrate how it solves major problems in scientific workflows
  • Work with key decision makers across a customer’s organization including scientists, IT and C-level executives
  • Work closely with Catalytic’s sales, marketing, business development and executive leadership
  • Manage complex sales cycles
  • Identify, close and grow new customers within your territory
  • Meet or exceed pipeline generation and revenue quotas
  • Travel onsite to customer or prospect offices



  • 5+ years selling software or data products to life sciences companies
  • Existing relationships at life sciences companies
  • Proven track record of identifying and closing new customers
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding quotas
  • Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Boston/Cambridge home base


Nice To Have

  • Strong understanding of the life sciences R&D cycle
  • Undergraduate degree or prior training in a scientific discipline
  • Prior experience selling a SaaS solution
  • Experience working in a dynamic rapidly changing start-up environment
